Captains Prize
With the big day approaching fast may i take this opportunity on behalf of myself and the rest of the golfclub to wish Captain Michael Nugent well for his Captains Prize. Michael has put in sterling work on our behalf and deserves all the plaudits he is receiving for his work at Rossmore Golfclub. He started the year by saying he would like to see the golfclub return to the members and the efforts of himself and his committee I believe have borne fruit. There is a tremendous atmosphere, and many volunteers now working throughout the club. Well done Captain. We all hope the sun shines for your weekend and that the scoring is good and the greens are slick.

Speaking to PC he has some interesting new ideas for Captains prize “first round leader”, “second round leader”. What the” low and high” rounds will be and he also said something like, nobody priced belows 20’s. Paudge also said “im competing with Paddy Power, I’ll pay on the first eight home”.

A four person team event €100 per team. Barbeque afterwards at the clubhouse at 7.30pm, everybody welcome. Face painting from 5.30pm and a free courtesy bus available from 11.30pm to 2.30am.
The Rita Mc Kenna Memorial Trophy (GOY) takes place over two days 25th and 26th of June. One of Rossmores Premier events, a big turnout is expected so get your name on the timesheet early.
A four person scramble takes place on the Sunday 27th of June.
Over 18’s continues every Monday and Tuesday this is a brilliant competition and needs your support, so come on everybody see can you break 30.
Lady Captain’s Day One of the most important events in our golfing calendar is upon us once again as our Lady Captain’s day takes place this Saturday 19 June. A timesheet is in operation and as we anticipate a big turnout of ladies, it is advisable to book your slot as soon as possible. Afternoon tea will be served from 2pm and everyone is welcome. The meal with Lady Captain will take place at 8 pm. Presentation of prizes will be at 9.30pm followed by music and dancing. We wish Lady Captain, Grainne a very enjoyable day.

Final of Hotel Hilgrove Sponsored fourball betterball Sunday 14th of June, contesting the final of this event are the Murray brothers of Monaghan town and Tydavnet pair Liam Treanor and Sean Mc Govern. Goodluck to both teams.
Music Seisúin in the Clubhouse Satuday the 12th starting at 9.30pm everybody welcome.
